UCET Annual Conference
UCET Annual Conference 2023: 14th and 15th November 2023, The Queen's Hotel, Leeds
UCET will be holding this year's annual conference at a new venue, The Queen's Hotel in Leeds. The conference includes keynote speakers, workshop and symposias on a variety of teacher education topics.
Keynote speakers confirmed so far include:
- Vini Lander et al (Leeds Beckett University) - Equalities plenary
- Rachel Lofthouse, Tom Shaw, Simon Flowers, Pinky Jain (Leeds Learning Alliance) - Collaboration, Inclusion and Ambition: re-thinking regional partnerships for education to enhance learning and lives
- Una Meehan (Univesity of Chester) - Sustainability in education
- Katharine Burn (Oxford) - topic to be announced
- Nick Sorensen (Bath Spa) - The improvising teacher
- Clare Brooks (University of Cambridge) - ITE accreditation exercise through the lens of spatial justice
- David James (Cardiff University) - The state of UK education research
Fees for this year are:
- Whole Conference: £480
- Daily Delegate Rate: £240 (e.g. for attendance on one day, Tuesday or Wednesday only)
- Monday night B&B: £160
- Tuesday night B&B: £160
- Gala Dinner (Tuesday night): £55
- Non-delegate partner dinner: £55
10% early bird discount for registrations received by 31st May 2023.
10% off for those institutions registering 5 staff members or more.
Cancellation deadline: 1st November 2023 at 5pm. Please email us at info@ucet.ac.uk should you wish to cancel your registration. Please note that any registrations will be charged for if we do not receive a cancellation by this date. This also includes accommodation costs for USCET Wales and Northern Ireland delegates.
A copy of the draft programme is available to view via the 'details and downloads' link opposite; the final version of the programme will be emailed to all delegates who have registered nearer the date.
