USCET Cymru report: Moving the Discourse from Problems to Possibilities

Summary

Seeing ITE as a policy problem within a 'discourse of inadequacy' (Mutton and Burn, 2020) is unlikely to build confidence and efficacy within the sector. However, reframing the narrative by identifying positive practices and promising ideas in ITE affords the opportunity to build a shared vision and national strategy among those who are key to realising the Welsh Government's ambition for a high-qualityh teaching profession (USCET Cymru, 2024)
