Promoting Quality in Teacher Education

Research and International Forum

Chair: Andrew Clapham (Nottingham Trent University); Vice-Chair: Linda Devlin (University of Wolverhampton)

The aim of the UCET Research and International Forum is to discuss and debate issues relating to research in education (with particular regard to teacher education) as well as any international issues of relevance to UCET members. A key priority over the next 12 months will be advising the UCET membership about the implications of the 2021 Research Excellence Framework. The Forum will determine UCET's response to any consultations relating to the REF, and will nominate members of the sub-panel for education. Members of the Forum will also be developing a position paper on research in teacher education. Forum members will also be kept abreast of any significant international developments.
