"We advance on our journey only when we face our goal, we are confident and believe we are going to succeed" – Orison Swett Marden
Message from ARC Chair, Andrew Wright
For many Virtual Heads and EP services, developing the capacity of schools to meet the needs of their children is a key issue, on a national level. Many have used ARC membership as their starting point and a means of connecting local practice to a national agenda focused on children’s mental health and well being. With many schools going the extra mile and developing best practices, making a huge difference to children’s lives and futures, ARC has extended its membership offer. This newly developed offer now includes a bespoke self assessment tool in the ARC Matrix, a development plan framework and audit resource and an ARC Pathway model, specifically designed to support school settings, to begin and continue their journey to becoming attachment and trauma aware; as well as align with Ofsted criteria.
ARC membership starts from £125 per year and members will receive beneficial networking opportunities within the ARC community, which includes a £50 concession on member ticket purchases for the ARC Annual Conference; a full CPD Accredited event, with a 30 day on demand available to all delegates, with over 12 hours of content.
The 2022 ARC Annual Conference is due to take place on Tuesday 22 November 2022 as a hybrid model, with the live ticketed event held at The Burlington Hotel, Birmingham and virtual tickets available for our bespoke conference platform. Tickets for both are available to purchase from the ARC website, www.the-arc.org.uk. This year's conference will highlight the issues faced by both our young people and colleagues in education, discuss developments from the last 12 months and celebrate best practice. We are delighted to announce our first keynote speaker joining us live at the conference is Olympian, media personality, motivational speaker and businessman, Kriss Akabusi MBE; who will be focusing on his personal experiences of the care sector. Delegates will also be joined by representatives from ASCL, NAVSH, Adoption UK and The Alex Timpson Trust, in order to showcase fellow colleagues work within a unified goal of allowing our young people to achieve a fulfilled education.
The 2022 Alex Timpson ARC Attachment Award nominations are now officially open, with a closing date of Friday 27 May. These awards are open to ARC members and non-members. All nominees must be supported and nominated by their Virtual School Headteacher.
Block purchase options are available for both ARC membership and ARC Conference tickets, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to find out more and be supported in your ARC journey.
