ITE Secondary Forum
Chair: Alison Winson (University of Worcester); Vice Chair: Jenny Wynn (Bishop Grosseteste University).
The UCET Secondary Forum aims to serve, support and encourage secondary teacher educators in member institutions by providing a forum in which to share practice, maintain currency of knowledge about policy initiatives, and sustain important values and principles of initial teacher education for prospective teachers in secondary schools. Termly meetings are complemented by morning symposia on current issues.

Alison Winson, is a Principal Lecturer at the University of Worcester. She leads the Centre for Secondary and Post Compulsory Education. Alison is also an Associate Head of the Institute of Education with responsibility for recruitment across all programmes. Since joining the University, Alison has undertaken a range of roles including developing and managing the Design and Technology of the ITE Programme, the GTP Secondary programme and latterly, in 2007, she became the programme leader for the Secondary PGCE course.
Before joining the University of Worcester, Alison taught in secondary schools for fifteen years. Her subject specialism was Design and Technology. She led a large Faculty. During this period, Alison also worked for the OCR exam board. Her involvement included developing GCSE and entry-level qualifications and delivering CPD courses for teachers. This work led to a six-month secondment as a Design and Technology exam subject officer.
