International Committee

The UCET International Committee is concerned with the world of education outside the narrow confines of UK white papers and circulars. It aims to make an international experience part and parcel of teacher education.

Topics of discussion at committee meetings include:

• finding space for experienced outside the UK in crowded PGCE course
• international research
• funding bodies
• staff and student exchange

Regular updates are provided by officers from the British Council, the European Council, DfID, OECD, etc and supplemented by committee members' reports of international conferences and current initiatives. Contacts are maintained with colleagues in a variety of countries.
