Initial Teacher Education Primary & Early Years
The UCET Initial Teacher Education Primary & Early Years Committee is about networking, liaison and support. Committee meetings include updating members on recent publications/issues from DfES, TDA, GTTR, GTC, OfSTED. Representatives from Primary & EY Committee have regular meetings with for example, the TDA and GTTR to make sure that we are up-to-date with changes and that representation is made about issues that are of concern.
We are in the process of developing a database of primary members so that we know who is an expert in what. This will enable us to support each other even more effectively in new ventures related to teacher training and teacher education.
Workshops and conferences are another way of sharing expertise.
