The Executive Committee is UCET's main governing body and deals with all matters pertaining to policy-making, finances and governance. It is made up of the Chairs of each of the Standing Committees, along with the UCET officers, elected members and co-opted members.
Dr Gill Scott
Gill has been Dean of the School of Education at Nottingham Trent University since 2004 and has led the School through a range of changes, responding to government policy, funding and structural changes. NTU are engaged in UG and PG primary and secondary ITT, FE ITT, School Direct, SCITT partnership, SKE, CPD and research.
Prior to becoming Chair of UCET Gill was Vice Chair and Chair of Management Forum and an elected member of Executive Committee.
During her time at NTU Gill was a senior lecturer in FE ITT and head of CPD before becoming Dean. Prior to joining NTU she was Assistant Principal of an FE college responsible for staffing and staff development. During her time in FE Gill was a lecturer, Curriculum Manager, Quality Manager and Staff Development Manager.
Gill gained her first degree in Social Science from UEA, an MBA from Sheffield Polytechnic and her FE Cert Ed from Huddersfield Polytechnic. Her EdD is from Nottingham Trent University and her thesis considered the effectiveness of devolved management models in FE.
